Posted

Coast native Natasha Trethewey will be in Pass Christian on Wednesday, May 4, for the One Book One Pass Community Read Project Author Presentation.

Set for 6:30 p.m. at the Randolph Center, the free event will feature Tretheway, who was appointed as the United States Poet Laureate in 2012 and 2013, and who has also served as Mississippi’s Poet Laureate. Tretheway won the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, and has also collected honors and awards from the Guggenheim and Rockefeller Foundations, among many others.

One Book One Pass is an annual program sponsored by Pass Christian Books to promote the value of reading by recommending a book linking the community in a common conversation, with the hope of encouraging dialogue while fostering a lifelong learning through reading.

The event is free and open to the public. The Randolph Center is located at 315 Clark Avenue.
