PCHS 2022 graduate Jackson Roberts
Pass Christian High School (PCHS) Class of 2022 graduate Jackson Roberts is making waves in the world of scientific research. After graduating from PCHS, Roberts headed to Yale University, where he pursued a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology.
While at Yale, Roberts distinguished himself through groundbreaking research in genetics, contributing to a scientific journal—a remarkable achievement for an undergraduate student. His passion for discovery and innovation led him to his current role as a postgraduate researcher, where he is studying the evolution of cell types in freshwater sponges—a field that has the potential to deepen understanding of cellular development and evolutionary biology.
Roberts’ dedication and academic excellence have earned him a place at Harvard University, where he will be pursuing a PhD in molecular and cellular biology. He hopes to establish his own research lab and share his knowledge as a college professor, inspiring the next generation of scientists.
“Jackson’s journey is a testament to the power of hard work, passion, and the strong foundation he built at Pass Christian School District,” said Pass Christian Superintendent Dr. Carla J. Evers. “His success serves as an inspiration to current and future students and families, showing that the possibilities are limitless with a Pirate education.”
