Fourth Graders Bring Weather to Life

Fourth graders at Pass Christian Elementary School have been hard at work exploring the fascinating world of weather through hands-on experiments designed to spark curiosity and deepen  understanding.

As part of their science unit, students modeled the water cycle using water sealed in Ziploc bags, observing evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in real time. The budding scientists also  stepped into the role of junior meteorologists by building their very own rain gauges. With these tools, students are now able to measure rainfall, track patterns, and discuss the importance of  weather in everyday life.

By experimenting, observing, and asking questions students are able to become active participants in their learning. This keeps their curiosity shining bright and brings science off the page and  into students’ hands.

Pass Christian Elementary’s focus on experimental learning ensures that students not only understand key concepts, but also develop a lasting appreciation for the natural world.
