Long Beach Endures Another Tough Loss Against Pass Christian

Pass Christian put up a season-high effort on Thursday, rolling to a 61-26 win over Long Beach. The Pirates controlled the matchup from the opening minutes, extending a strong run that has now reached nine straight victories against the Bearcats.
For Long Beach, the night was another difficult chapter in a season that has tested the team’s resilience. The Bearcats entered the game hoping to break out of a rough stretch, but early turnovers and cold shooting made it hard for them to keep pace. Despite the score, Long Beach continued to fight through the final buzzer, showing the effort and determination that coaches believe will eventually turn things around. Still, the loss pushed them to 1-7 and extended their skid to four games, a slide they are eager to stop as soon as possible.
Pass Christian improved to 4-3 with the win, though their follow-up game on the 22nd resulted in a 61-31 loss to Perry Central. Long Beach also returned to action the same day, facing another tough challenge and falling 51-19 to Our Lady Academy.
While the results have not gone their way, Long Beach continues to lean on its young core and is working to rebuild confidence. The team knows that growth often comes during stretches like this, and with several games still ahead, the Bearcats have time to push for a stronger finish.
