Long Beach Continues Momentum With Eighth Straight Win

Long Beach continued its strong run of form on Tuesday night, adding another statement win to an already impressive stretch. Entering the matchup against Hancock riding a seven-game winning streak, the Bearcats showed no signs of slowing down and walked away with a convincing 5–0 shutout victory.
From the opening moments, Long Beach controlled the pace of play and kept Hancock from finding any offensive rhythm. The Hawks struggled to generate scoring chances, while the Bearcats steadily applied pressure throughout the contest. Braiden Bonds delivered a standout performance, accounting for three of Long Beach’s five goals and playing a central role in putting the match out of reach.
The win improved Long Beach’s overall record to 12–6, further solidifying its momentum as the season progresses. Hancock, meanwhile, fell to 2–13–1 with the loss. It marked the team’s fifth consecutive home defeat, a stretch that has tested the Hawks as they look to regroup heading into the next phase of the schedule.
Both teams will remain busy with district rivalries later this week. Long Beach is set for a highly anticipated matchup against Picayune on Friday night, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Hancock will also be back in action on Friday, welcoming familiar opponent Pascagoula for a 7:00 p.m. start as they aim to turn the page and find some momentum of their own.
