It was an incredible run for the Lady Bearcats, who advanced all the way to the girls 6A state championship. The ladies were defeated by Saltillo high school by a final score of 2-0, on February 21st in the state championship.

Both teams were ranked in the top 20 in the state, and both had very dominant records through the regular season. Both teams were 10-0 in district play, and met in what was always going to be an exciting game, but it was the defense of Saltillo that proved to be the difference maker, holding Long Beach to no goals.

This was the first time these teams had met all season, and were certainly the best two teams in the 6A division, looking at records. Long Beach was led this season by 9 goals from Kaydence Cook.

The Bearcats will now regroup and prepare for the next season.
