Pass Christian Dominates West Marion; Long Beach Faces Picayune

by Charlie Rook

Pass Christian continued its outstanding season Friday night with a convincing 55-12 victory over West Marion.

The Pirates delivered another impressive offensive performance, scoring 55 points while holding West Marion to just 12.

Pass Christian has been one of the most consistent offensive teams in its area throughout the season, and Friday’s performance was another example of that success.

The victory came after the Pirates had already established a strong record through the first several weeks of the season.

Pass Christian will return home Thursday, October 29, to face Bay High School in its next matchup.

Long Beach, meanwhile, traveled to Picayune Friday night for another difficult district contest.

The Bearcats have shown improvement this season after struggling to find victories a year ago. Long Beach picked up an important win against Gautier earlier in October, defeating the Gators 16-14.

Friday’s matchup against Picayune provided another test as the Bearcats continued their district schedule.

Long Beach will return home Friday, October 30, to face Pearl River Central before traveling to Hancock for its regular-season finale on November 5.

The final score of Long Beach’s game against Picayune was not confirmed in the sources available, so that portion will need updating before publication.
